Our proposal links walking activity to funding for better walking conditions. Members would work with government on priorities; government would plan and deliver the work.
The funding arrangement is a proposal. No government payment per kilometre is currently promised by this website.
Invest in the walking environment
Help build the paths we want to walk.
Members can register interest in investing in walking infrastructure. We are developing the funding and repayment arrangements alongside the walking proposal.
An illustrative calculation uses 5% annual earnings on the unpaid balance to pay approximately 8.02% of the original investment each year over 20 years. Payments include returned capital. This is a model, not an available or guaranteed investment.
